Frederick is best described as the county that has something for everyone. According the 2005 US Census Bureau Frederick County boasts a population of 220,000. From 2000 to 2005 the population had grown by 13%. US Census
Within Frederick county are several towns such as Jefferson, Brunswick, Middletown, Mt Airy, Walkersville, Woodbine, Woodsboro, Thurmont, Libertytown, New Market, Ijamsville, and Emmitsburg-just to name a few. Within Frederick County is Frederick City, where you will find Historic Downtown Frederick with tons of shopping, restaurants and businesses. Due to it’s location of being central to Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia you will find incredible amounts of History from Presidents visiting including Washington History. This area is currently going through an incredible transformation with the revitalization of Carrol Creek and preservation of the historic homes located in this area. Frederick was originally a small Farming Community (there were times where you would see cows being hearded down 355). Now however the times have caught up with Frederick and it has become a thriving and expanding county with people moving here from all over the world due to it’s proximity to the DC area, job growth, and affordability.

First Saturday Gallery Walk-Held the first Saturday every month. Featuring artists creating interactive works of art LIVE on the downtown sidewalks. Dog Days of Summer
Located in Downtown Frederick- bring your dog for "Dog Days of Summer," featuring a dog contest, dog friendly stores (what fun to see the dogs shop), restaurant areas setup for dining, animal art & more. It's absolutely awesome! It's one of Hoss's favorite events! The festivities begin at 5PM, with registration and conclude with a Yappy Hour doggie after party. Also enjoy live entertainment, guest artists and extended shopping hours at 80+ downtown stores.
